It's amazing what one can assimilate in a day

Well, today has been one of the most productive days I’ve had for a long time. I started revising Latin at 8:00am, and finished that batch at 9:50am, at which point I rushed off for a French lesson. I then started Latin again at 11:00, and worked through till luncheon at 1:00pm. Immediately afterwards was my Latin exam, which was pretty easy; and now I’ve been hacking on KLatin for a bit.

Oh, and “sl”, aka “steam locomotive” in Gentoo is hideously time consuming. If you ever type “ls” wrong, have fun watching ascii art for the next 5 minutes as a massive steam train runs through a level crossing with about 25 carraiges attached to it! What’s more - you can’t kill it by ordinary means (ctrl-c), so you’re going to have to know its escape key combination.. And no, I’m not going to tell you what it is.. :P

Ahh… the joys of Linux.

Wahoo! Latin language 1 is over!

At last - it is over. The torment of Latin, and indeed GCSE, exam number 1 is over! And it was /easy/. That’s to say, if I didn’t get 99% or over, I will be kicking myself… hard.

Onward to the next exams!!!!!!!

Another day has passed and the shadow of GCSEs looms closer...

Oh well, tomorrow is crunch day. It is the end. GCSEs start. Thankfully, it’s Latin Language, and I’ve been using KLatin to revise my vocabulary! :)

Have been twiddling with my image gallery, and I now have all the photos that were ever taken at Ludex in London. This is all the photos taken by Charles Samuels, Jonathan Riddell, Jeff Snyder and me.

The wireless card on my desktop has died… I’ll have to take it back to Computer Exchange to have a yell at them.

Must get back to revision.

Wahoo, new blog

Posted by George Wright Mon, 17 May 2004 13:14:00 GMT

OK, finally finished redesigning my site and included a new blog. The new site is a bit kde.org esque, as I’m far too unimaginative to design my own. However, the design is still very much like the old one. There is also an image gallery over at http://www.gwright.org.uk/images, powered by FsPHPGallery by Chris Howells (who is also to blame for this new blog).

KLatin is now in KDE-Edu, and Anne-Marie has been giving me a hard time about it. Oh well, that’s life.

GCSEs start on Tuesday! First exam is Latin language. Must.. revise.. ;)
