Looks like there might actually be one this year. I’ve now applied for KDE to have a booth, so is anyone up for joining me on the booth this year?
It’ll be the usual story.. sit on the booth for two days getting bored, laughing^Wsmiling at the neighbouring GNOMEs and demonstrating how unbelievably awesome our desktop environment is. Obviously in between lots of lunch breaks.
Maybe we should do what we did a couple of years ago and apply for a combined Freedesktop.org booth with the GNOME people to increase our booth area?

I think you should joing booths to get bigger area and show this way the spirit of open source that everyone is actually pulling same rope!
It’s O.K to have own booths for both but it brings littlebit more “fighting” like big companies who are competiting.
Open source should be a freedom with good spirit of “socialism”, so that’s why I recommend the joined booths :-)
I should still be living in London come then, so I’d be able to help out in evenings or the weekend. Contact me on john at layt dot net closer to the date.
John.
I’m organising the GNOME booth this year. The last time we were next door to each other and that worked pretty well. We’re also trying to get the Bongo Project guys close so that we can run Cat5 to their stand.
Drop me a mail if you want to chat about stuff (a DOT j.delaney AT brighton WHICH IS AN ac INSTITUTE IN THE uk)
Its look like I can’t go :( Im sad about that, cause its probably gonna be interessting :S
If I can help, being nothing more than an enthusiastic user, I’d be happy to do what I can on the weekend!
Hi,
When is the uk LinuxWorld Conference & Expo being held? And can anyone point me in the direction of a website that gives details?
Thanks
The excellent tutorial. It is definitely going to help me some time.
