It works!

A picture says a thousand words:
OK, so I cheated a little and this is actually using the Cygwin packaged XWin server, but it’s a significant step. Now I just need to write a few functions to invoke NXWin.exe and setup the relevant Xauthority file, then it should be pretty much finished!

Wow. This looks nice. Does that mean that all the other gnome apps also run fine on Windows? What is the GNOME Version?
Other GNOME apps? The GNOME session you see there is a remote session to a server running CentOS. The client is my Qt-based NX client “QtNX”.
Hey George this looks fantastic… and it has not yet been a month since you decided to work on nx again!
Is this new QtNX version compatible with version 3 of the server? Is it difficult to turn this into a “portable client”?
Very exciting… if you need any support testing, just let us know in your blog!
Cheers
This is all working perfectly with NX 3 servers. As for portable program… yesterday I committed code to nxcl that autodetects what platform you’re on and sets #defines accordingly, so that the code should just compile and work on OS X, Windows and Linux.
I have yet to commit code that makes QtNX work on Win32 though.
Sounds great :)
I suppose it’s too early, but will there be binaries in the future? I must say i have not checked if in there is any section in svn containing them…
And thanks a lot for your prompt reply!
